Bio

Aleksandra (Allie) Picariello is a quirky singer songwriter and versatile producer/musician whose dramatic indie pop swoons with bittersweet string orchestrations and revved up bass driven rock grooves. Imagine David Bowie having five o'clock tea with Lady Gaga while Twenty One Pilots bash out Queen covers in the corner of a room filled with cellos and French Horns and left over scores by Hans Zimmer.

From Boston, MA, Aleksandra is a rising Composer, Singer/Songwriter, and graduate of the Film Scoring program at Berklee College of Music. Allie graduated in 2013 with a BA. Her influences include Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, John Williams, The Red HotChili Peppers, and Twenty One Pilots.

"I started on Cello at nine years old, but my life completely changed when my cousin Cam started playing guitar and he encouraged me to play bass. He had a huge impact on my life. Once I started playing bass everything changed and I knew I wanted to play music for the rest of my life. I went to Berklee college of music and majored in film scoring because I loved movies and movie music. I've had a lot of ups and downs and setbacks with mental health issues and subsequent substance abuse as I tried to self-medicate. A hospitalisation in 2020 changed my life and I have been thriving ever since. Inspired to write songs, I put together a three song EP I called “Legacy,” and began a career as a solo artist."

Aleksandra's vision is to be a nationally recognised singer-songwriter and composer who promotes awareness and advocacy for those with mental health and addiction
struggles, and provides altruism, healing and comfort to all through music and musical storytelling.
